Fresh romantic. Pure linen sheets or pillow shams flowing white curtains and fresh flowers are musts for this look. Focus on the view. A bedroom always feels nicer when the first thing you experience is a pleasant view out the window — as opposed to a view looking straight at the bed. Night tables are pretty essential pieces of bedroom furniture. But many tend to be a bit utilitarian in terms of style and they can get cluttered with our necessities. To give your bedroom the royal treatment first declutter your nightstand. Remove excess paperwork and posessions leaving only lighting a book and perhaps a small vase of flowers. Next swap out your current nightstand for one with a luxury finish — mirror or shagreen is a great option. A subtler route is to choose a piece with reflective hardware such as crystal or brass. Step stool. A repurposed step stool is a smart budget-friendly and space-saving substitute for a night table. Whether designed for a child's room the kitchen or the garage stools often have small proportions that are good for small spaces. Tip: Since a table lamp might take over much of the surface area of your step stool consider installing a wall sconce above it instead. That way you'll have room on the stool to place books reading glasses or a vase. If your bedroom allows space pair the stool with a similar-size furniture piece on the other side of the bed.
Reframe clearing clutter in a positive light. It's all too easy to let the bedroom become a dumping ground for all the random items that don't seem to fit anywhere else. So the first step in clearing clutter is to consider what you do want in the bedroom. Fresh sheets good lighting your current book on the nightstand? Definitely. Piles of paper children's toys and the vacuum cleaner? Probably not. Take action: Center yourself by taking a few deep calming breaths before you begin.
